Why families come to us

Behavior tells us something. We help you hear what.

Every family has its own history, its own personalities and its own needs, so no single parenting formula fits them all.

Some families arrive after years of hard conversations, exhaustion or the same power struggle on repeat. Others are moving through grief, a trauma history, ADHD, autism, executive-function challenges or a big change at home. Some are doing fine and simply want to live together more deliberately.

Rather than only trying to stop a behavior, we look at what may sit underneath it: a need that is not being met, an expectation that was never made clear, a pattern that leaves everyone feeling misunderstood.

Adults need support too. Steadiness, connection and room to grow belong to parents as much as to children.

What makes it different

Understanding first. Practical change, practiced together.

Look beneath the surface

Explore what reactions and recurring tensions may be telling you, with attention to needs, expectations and stress, and without blame.

Lead yourself first

Notice your own triggers, needs and habits. Young people learn most from the adults who model the skills they hope to teach.

Shaped for your family

Realistic strategies that respect each person’s individuality and strengths, whatever your household is carrying.

Support that stays

Eight live meetings build the foundation. Check-ins, resources and home practice follow, then lifetime membership in the Calm Authority Collective, a community of like-minded families.

Is this for us?

An honest look at fit.

This may suit you if…

  • You want to change your own responses, not control anyone else’s.
  • You are ready to attend, practice and follow through together as adults.
  • Your home is full of recurring tension, or already loving and you want it deeper.
  • You want guidance shaped around neurodivergence, grief or a complicated history.

This may not be the right time if…

  • You are hoping a child will be “fixed” while the adults stay on the sidelines.
  • You are looking for therapy, diagnosis or medical care. We will happily point you toward qualified professionals.
  • You need a guaranteed result. We guide and support; we cannot promise outcomes.

Your three months

Guidance that holds, then keeps holding.

Progress takes repetition. The structure is built so you are never left to work it out alone.

Weeks 1–8

Eight live family meetings

One private two-hour meeting each week: teaching, reflective conversation, planning and rehearsal.

Month 3

Two live check-ins

Forty-five minutes each, to see what is working and adjust your family plan.

After

Calm Authority Collective, extra meetings

Stay in our community for life and book additional private meetings whenever you need them.

A sister program

Adults lead. Young people are supported.

The Intentional Family Experience is a sister offering alongside Quantum Montessori, which is a separate company. The Calm Authority Collective is the community our families belong to, and school enrollment is never required.

For families whose youth are already supported through Floating Hearts, Quantum Montessori’s social-emotional learning program, its gentle emotional-learning practices can complement the adults’ work. Our focus stays on the adults: self-awareness, steadiness, communication and consistency.

Common questions

Clear answers before you apply.

See all questions

Will you teach me to control my child’s behavior?

No. No one can control another person’s feelings or choices. We focus on what adults can influence: their own responses, boundaries, communication, consistency and the environment they create.

Is this therapy or mental-health treatment?

No. This is educational family coaching. It is not diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric care or medical treatment, and we encourage qualified professional support when a concern falls outside coaching.

Are the meetings live?

Yes. All eight weekly meetings and both month-three check-ins are live and private. Prerecorded videos are provided only to support practice at home between appointments.

Can anyone join?

Enrollment is by application, a paid consultation and acceptance, with up to six new families each intake. Paying for a consultation does not guarantee acceptance.

Build the kind of home you practice, together.

Begin with a conversation, not a checkout. Tell us about your household and we will reply personally.
